Mr. Scott W. Streeter, 47, of 408 Reese Rd. passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident in the Town of Ohio.

Scott was born in New Hartford on January 10, 1966, the son of William and Judy Moreau Streeter. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1984. After high school, he served with the US Navy for four years, attaining the rank of AT3 prior to his Honorable Discharge. Scott was married to Carla Girantino on November 16, 1990 in St. Mary's Church. He was currently employed as a Corrections Officer at Mohawk Correctional Facility, Rome where he had worked since 1989. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Snow Drifters and the NYSCOPBA.

Aside from Scott`s commitment to family as evidenced in his many contributions as a father, husband, proud new grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Scott was an avid outdoor enthusiast. Scott took the lead from his maternal grandfather Emil Moreau and was a lifelong hunter and fisherman who continued that tradition and looked forward to passing his knowledge and skills on to others. Scott took great pride in discussing his many excursions in detail and had photos to back up his stories. Scott was an outstanding athlete, expanding from his Pop Warner Football and Little League Baseball days through high school football including his role in bringing the 1983 New York State Class C Section III Football Championship to his alma mater FSCS. Scott continued his love of sports and the outdoors into his adult years, playing racquetball, enjoying riding his four-wheeler in the summer months and snowmobiling in the winter.
