Michael S. Mikey Renshaw, 51, of McKennan Road, Frankfort, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 13, 2013.

He was born July 13, 1961, in Herkimer, the son of Sydney and Ruth (Glogowski) Renshaw. Mikey was a graduate of Herkimer High School Class of 1979. For over 23 years, Mike was employed at MidState Correctional Facility in Marcy, NY where he was a corrections officer. With family and friends his foremost priority, Mike proved himself a loving and caring son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. Mike enjoyed life to its fullest and had a positive outlook on life and could always find the best in each person he met. Everyone Mikey met became a fast and long lasting friend. An avid golfer, Mike took much pride in his golfing and enjoyed playing golf with his father and many friends.

Survivors include his parents, Sydney and Ruth Renshaw, of Herkimer; his fiancee, Vivian Veazy, of Frankfort; a son, Matthew Renshaw and wife, Annette, of Ilion; his brother, Christopher Renshaw and wife, Laura, of Frankfort; his sister, Lisa Renshaw and fianc, Eric Hurley, of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Athena and Arianna Renshaw; nieces and nephews, James McIntosh, Angelina McIntosh, and Anthony McIntosh, Maddie Renshaw Wyatt Renshaw, and John and Evan Dickan, mother-in-law, Lois Veazy, father-in-law, Jack Veazy and wife, Theresa, sister-in-law, Teresa Dickan and husband, Michael, and brother-in-law, Jack Veazy, Jr., and several cousins.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Sydney and Rose Renshaw, his maternal grandparents, Michael and Grace Glogowski and two special friends, Thomas Wishart and John Jack Sninchak.

In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, 329 South Washington Street, Herkimer, NY.
