Garret Pelton age 49, passed into the hands of the lord with his loving family by his side on Sunday September 5, 2010 in the comfort of his home.

He led a courageous fight for 8 years from long lasting debilitating injuries from a bridge collapse on 10-10-02 in Marcy, NY. He formerly worked for Midstate Correctional Facility in Marcy NY and Tioga Construction. He was a graduate of Liverpool High School 1980 and went on to receive his Bachelor's degree from Cortland College. He received many athletic awards and set records along the way. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin and friend. We will love and miss him.

He leaves behind his loving wife Darlene Fitts Pelton, and three loving children Natasha, Brittany and Josh which helped him through his journey. Parents Stewart and Barbara Pelton and sister Kari Dillon as well as Aunts and Uncles and cousins. Mother-in-law Minnette Fitts, sister-in-laws Corinne Sousa, Patsy Fitts, Nadine Fitts, brother-in-laws David Fitts, Richard Sousa, Ren Fitts, Bill Fitts, Fred Fitts, Jamison Thomas also nieces Danielle Sousa Thomas, Lindsay Dillon, Erin Sousa, Ivey Fitts. Many nephews Derek & Richie Sousa, Justin & Jason Fitts, Ryan, Christopher, Sean Fitts, Stephen Fitts, Steven Dillon; great nieces: Saradi & Sklya Sousa and great nephew Kasen Fitts. He leaves behind so many special loving friends Mark & Lori Brosh, Billy & Beth Crossley, Don Brosh, Pete Clapp, Mike Boris, Dawn (Stella) Globe, Mike LaVenture, Jim Dillon, Coach Oscar Jensen along with so many others.

He was a man who was loved by all who ever got to meet him.

Calling hours will be Saturday September 18 from 10:00am -12:00pm at Dimbley, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds funeral home on 13 Oxford Rd, New Hartford, NY.
