Akron, Ohio-Mary Francis Harmon, 86, formerly of Walnut Ridge passed from this life Tuesday at Akron General Medical Center. She was born February 13, 1926 in Vina, Alabama to Charles Franklin and Arka Chambers Armstrong. She had lived in Michigan but moved to the Walnut Ridge area in 1976. She resided here until 5 years ago when she moved to Akron, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Harmon; daughter, Rebecca Harmon; sisters, Wilma Hale and Kathleen Armstrong; brothers, Charles Armstrong, Thomas Armstrong and Larry Armstrong.

She is survived by daughters, Susan Burns of Canton, Ohio, Linda Schmidt and husband Steve of Macomb, Michigan, Karen Lawrence of Walnut Ridge; son, Robert Harmon of Mountain Home; sisters, Wilodene Farmer and husband A.J. of Walnut Ridge, Pamela Smith of Dearborn Hights, Michigan; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the House Gregg Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will immediatly follow in Lawrence Memorial Park with Derek Collins officiating.
