Charles F. Abrams died at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Charles J. Osborne, in St. Louis, Mo., of malarial fever, aged 40 years. The deceased was born in this city and resided here until about 20 years of age, and thereafter lived in St. Louis, where he was engaged in the railroad business for some time. He has been an invalid for several years and came to this city last June for the benefit of his health, afterwards returning to St. Louis, from where he went to Yazoo, Miss., in October last, and was much benefited, but afterwards was taken very ill, and his sister, Mrs. Osborne, went there and brought him to her home, where he has been a great sufferer up to the time of his death.

He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Abrams, now deceased, old settlers in this city, and who were well known and highly respected by all old residents here. He leaves to mourn his loss three sisters, Mrs. Chas. J. Osborne of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Hadie Wilson, of Chicago, and Mrs. Julia Robbins, of New York City, and one brother, Mr. Herman Abrams, of Sherman, Tex. Deceased was well known in this city, greatly liked, and had a host of friends, whose admiration he won by his kind and gentle disposition. He was a kind and devoted son and brother, and all will deeply mourn his sudden departure.

The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. to-day from the residence of his cousins, the Misses Porter, No. 505 South Ninth street, and will be in charge of Stephenson post No. 30, G.A.R., of which he was a member. The remains were accompanied to this city by Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Osborne, niece and adopted daughter and Mrs. Julia Robbins, of New York.
