He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alice and John Shaffer Sr. of Beaver, Pa. and his paternal grandfather Leroy A. Dunn Sr. of Industry, Pa.

Jason was very proud of his Black Belt in Western Tae Kwon Do. He achieved this before finishing High School. He competed in the Wyoming State Olympics, he won many gold medals over the years of competition.

Burial was in Glenrock Cemetery on Wednesday March 19, 1997.
