CLARDY WINSTON-SALEM Samuel Lee Clardy Sept. 03, 1948 - Nov. 07, 2012 On November 07, 2012 at his appointed time Samuel Lee Clardy slept straight through to eternity. He was born September 03, 1948 to the late James Arnold and Rosetta Horne Clardy in Winston-Salem, NC. He served his country in the United States Army and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Clardy was a 2003 retiree of R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and a member of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sylvia Morgan Clardy of the home; children Sabrina C. (Brian) Ellis, Sarina Clardy and Samuel "Morgan" (Reketa) Clardy; sister, Gloria Cathcart; grandchildren, Kevea King, Samya Clardy, Brielle Ellis, Samuel Moran Clardy, Jr., and Samantha Ellis; sisters-in-law who were more like sisters, Marilyn Davis, Beverly Leak, and Sharon Salley; brothers-in-law, Thomas B. Salley Jr. and Roger Davis; parents-in-law, Thomas and Ollie Salley; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday November 10, 2012 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
