Rodney Dale Crews, 60, of Winston-Salem passed away on April 3, 2013. He was born in Forsyth County to Irvin and Rachel Wooten Crews. He was a loving son, husband, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, papa, friend, and co-worker. Mr. Crews was an avid UNC Chapel Hill fan. He loved to travel; he always took a "big" trip at the end of the year to Jamaica, Aruba, Hawaii, or the Caribbean. Mr. Crews enjoyed his job as a Flavoring Adhesive Preparer at RJ Reynolds and retired after 33 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Crews. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Crews; mother, Rachel Crews; sister, Susan Smith (Wayne); niece, Melissa Johnson (Keith); nephew, Stephen Smith; stepsons, Jody and wife Dawn, and Jeff and wife Mary Seth; and six step grandchildren, Andrew, Joshua, Chris, Brittany, Chad, and Tanner. A funeral service will be Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
