Randy Keith Barney, 47, of Perryman Road in the Reedy Creek community, went home to be with his Lord, whom he loved, Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at his home.
A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Union Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Ken W. Harris Jr. and the Rev. T.W. Bailey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Barney was born in Davidson County on Jan. 17, 1960, to Levi Barney and Virginia Cole Barney. He was a graduate of North Davidson High School. He was employed by R.J. Reynolds Whitaker Park Plant for 29 years, and he was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are his parents, Levi and Virginia Barney of Lexington; a brother, Mickey Dale Barney of Lexington, a niece, Cyndi Nicole Barney of Hudson, Fla.; special cousin David Lee Cole of Yadkinville and several other cousins.
