Mr. James Clyde "Hard Rock" Henderson, 77, of Roaring Gap, died Friday, November 9, 2007, at his residence.

Mr. Henderson was born in Wilkes County on November 24, 1929. He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and worked at Anderson Patrol Company. He was a member of the Liberty Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Harvey Henderson.

He is survived by his daughter, Joy Henderson Tanner; granddaughter, Amber Lauren Tanner; brother, John L. (Juanita) Henderson of South Carolina; nephew, James Michael Henderson of Georgia.

Graveside services were held on Monday, November 12. The Salem Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
