My grandfather

MB started out owning a grocery store on Wilmot St in Oakland (now Blvd of the Allies) and then started in real estate, using the slogan 'Cain is Able', with an office in the Berger Building downtown.

He and two partners started the Park View Land Co, which developed housing plans in the New Kensington area. He also owned a fair amount of land in Palm Beach, Florida, which unfortunately lost all it's value during the Depression.
