Alfred R. Hampel, the son of Henry & Iona Hampel, died Aug 4, 1940 from a fall at home, 1464 Cordova Ave., Lakewood, Ohio at age 33. After a divorce in 1932 in Erie, PA, he married Sept 15, 1934 in Cuyahoga Co., OH at age 27, Mae Illingworth. She was a social worker born Nov 12, 1908 in St Marys, West VA, the daughter of Charles Illingworth & Carolyn Hines. After he died, Mae married John D. Ralston. She died at age 100, Feb. 7, 2009 of Chelsea, MI and Green Valley, AZ. She was buried in Oak Grove East Cemetery, Chelsea, MI.
