Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Putnam Cemetery, Putnam. Dan Elberg and the Rev. Tom Schrock will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Betsy was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Bureau to Harvey and Faye (Turpen) Lester. She married Forest Morgan on Dec. 30, 1970, in Granville.
She graduated from Bureau High School and was a member of Eastern Star. She was a grocery clerk at Hennepin Foods and head cook at Princeton Game and Fish Club.
Survivors are four sons, Thomas (Diane) Newhalfen Jr. of Lacon, Robert (Kathy) Newhalfen of Magnolia, David (Lydia) Newhalfen of Henry and Forest Morgan III of Henry; three daughters, Tamara (Robert) Schlosser of Lacon, Shelly (Troy) Ebel of Hennepin and Victoria (Jerry) Chamness of Lacon: 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three stepchildren; and two sisters, Judy (Jerry) Schmitt of Henry and Mary (James) Glenn of Magnolia.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 15, 1998.
