Known for his roles in comedy and his collaboration with Fernandel, Jean-Paul Belmondo and especially Louis de Funès in Le Corniaud (1965) and La Grande Vadrouille (1966). For over forty years, La Grande Vadrouille was the most successful French film in France of all time, topping the box office with over 17.200.000 viewers in cinema. André Bourvil was born in Prétot-Vicquemare, France and died in Paris of Kahler's syndrome at the age of 53.
