On March 22, 2009, a privately chartered Pilatus PC-12 bound for Bozeman crashed into Holy Cross Cemetery while on approach for an emergency landing at Butte's Bert Mooney Airport. There were no survivors. The passengers were all relatives en route to a family ski trip at Big Sky. For some reason, the pilot is not included on the memorial. His name is Ellison Summerfield
