Sheryl DeMello, born in Hanford, California, to Frank S. and Gloria DeMello, was raised on a dairy in Madera, California, which fostered her love for animals.
Sheryl graduated from Madera High School in 1963. She then attended Merced Junior College.
Sheryl, a medical assistant, was employed by several physicians in the Fresno community. Sheryl was a loyal member of the Central Valley Corvette Club for twenty-one years and rarely missed a CVC Club social event.

Sheryl passed away Wednesday, August 01, 2012, in her home in Clovis at age 67, after a courageous eight year battle with breast cancer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank DeMello.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria; her sister, Jan and husband Gary; and nephews, Mike and Vince and their families.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Clovis on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at 10:00 a.m.
Donations may be made in Sheryl's name to Hinds Hospice of Fresno, 1616 W. Shaw Ave., Suite A-5, Fresno, CA 93711; or an animal rescue shelter of your choice.
