Obituary:
Mrs Ellen Robina Barrigar, 85, died at 9:30 Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs Chloe Merkley, 154 Water St, where she had been residing for the past 11 months.
Mrs Barrigar was born in Finch Ont., Aug 31, 1860, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria Phillips Price. She married the late George W Barrigar on Aug 15, 1882 in Madrid and she made her home in Berwick Ont. until ill lealth forced her to come to Massena to reside.
A prayer service was held at the Donaldson funeral Home Wednesday at 10 a.m. and the body was taken to Mrs. Barrigar's home in Berwick Ont. where services were
held at the United Church of Canada this afternoon.
Interment was made at the Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville Ont.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Chloe Merkley, Mrs George E. Dishaw, Massena, Mrs Mary Mills Edmonton, Alberta, two sons, Broder Barrigar, Vancouver B.C.,
Alex Barrigar, Berwick Ont; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
