My GGG-Grandmother Mary Ann Kirby was born in England, the daughter of John Kirby and Anne Ward.
She married and came with my GGG-Grandfather, Thomas to Canada around the year 1870. Sadly, she had to leave behind her oldest son,, William Kirby (who went by the name Dicks) and also her daughters, Emma Dicks and Alice Dicks, who had died shortly after birth in 1865.
She and Thomas had first lived in Ottawa, Ontario before moving to Teulon, Manitoba.
