Daniel died in a single car accident at age 16. He is the son of Jody Glynn Patrick (nee/Webster, adopted as "Shryack") and brother of Summer, Brook and Philip.

Though young when he died, Daniel was a very giving young man who wanted to become a police officer. He was already accomplished; a black belt in Tai Kwon Do, award-winning drummer, an Eagle Scout. He was about to begin high school at Bay View, a suburb of Milwaukee, in the police program, and had just signed up as a police explorer scout with the Cudahy, Wisconsin, Police Department. He would be very proud to know that his sister, Brook, is now a Chicago homicide detective.

Most important, Daniel Paul was a very beloved child who brought great joy to our family. He is greatly missed. He remains a part of our daily lives and we share our memories of him with the babies entering our lives -- his nephews Patrick Daniel Cassidy and Nathaniel G. Patrick and Alexander Glynn Cajucom, and his niece Natalie Patrick.

Daniel had two families, after his parents divorced and remarried, and he loved both families deeply and with great commitment.

Not a day passes yet without prayers and an abiding gratitude for all of the love, humor and loyalty he brought into our lives.
