One of the Three Horses which were the Founders of the Modern Thoroughbred Horse Racing Broodstock. Godolphin was also known as Goldolphin Barb. Godolphin was owned by King Louis XV. Francis, Earl of Goldolphin eventually purchased this horse. The most famous of the Arabian stallions brought to England and the ancestor to some of the most famous American race horses such as; Man O' War, Sea Biscuit, Silky Sullivan and War Admiral.
