Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Birdie McGuire Apple; two sons, Louie (Dale) Apple and Tom Apple both of Dardanelle; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Heflin of Russellville; five step-sons; Clayton Cates of Lake Charles, La., James Cates, George Cates, and Roy Cates all of Dardanelle, and Lloyd Cates of Russellville; one step daughter, Mrs. Marie Hill of Danville; one sister, Mrs. Alice Taylor (his twin sister) of Wynnewood, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and Mother of his children Dollie (Coffer) Apple, son Doss Houston Apple and daughter Reba May Apple.
Funeral Services were held at the Cornwell Chapel at Dardanelle Monday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. Charles Casteel, Pastor of the First Methodist Church.
