Tom Apple of Dardanelle, died peacefully in his sleep October 6,1990 while sitting in his chair at his home. Tom was the son of Ed and Dollie (Coffer) Apple, brother of Doss, Dale, and Reba Apple, and Irene Heflin. Tom is survived by one brother; Dale of Dardanelle and a large number of nieces, nephews and friends that loved him very much.
Tom lived his whole life as a single man and enjoyed the company of others thru visits at the local grocery stores and by communicating with them by way of the CB radio. His CB handle (name) was Headquarters. Some of his special CB buddies were; Motorcycle Momma, Motorcycle Daddy, Motorcycle Man, Applejack, Porky, and Big Ed. His lack of having a personal family was made up by his huge CB family.
I thought of you with LOVE today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name; But all I have are memories that are captured in a frame.

Tom's WWII draft card listed his middle name as Wayet (likely Wyatt) but was filled out by someone else. He signed the card with his mark: "X"
Dated 16 Oct 1940, the card said he was about 5' 5'', 210 lbs, blues eyes, and brown hair.
