William H. Linton

William H. Linton, 80, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family in Brookhaven, MS. Mr. Linton was born December 14, 1934, in Brookhaven, MS, to John Harvey and Verna May Linton.

Public gathering will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 10:00 AM until the time of memorial service at 11:00 AM. Bro. Ryan Thurman and Bro. Dale Linton will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) is in charge of the arrangements.

He served his country in the US Navy. He was a retired postal carrier for the US Postal Service. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a skilled cabinet maker and avid fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Harvey and Verna May Linton; and brother, Gene Linton.

Survivors are his wife of 61 years, June McDonald Linton; daughter, Catherine Linton Cutler of Danvers, MA; son, Johnny Linton and wife Evelyn of Rockville, MD; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to their church family and friends, and the staff of Hospice Advantage.
