North Augusta, SC—Funeral Services for Mr. Daniel B. "Dan" Lee, Jr., 77, of Orchard Way, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest December 16, 2012, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Roy Kiser and Rev. Jerry T. Matthews officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park.
Mr. Lee was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana having made North Augusta his home for the past 66 years. He was a 1952 graduate of North Augusta High School and attended The University of South Carolina. Mr. Lee was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta, the Aquila-Priscilla Sunday School Class, the Sheffield Club, the Sanctuary and Senior Choirs. He retired from Georgia Railroad Bank and First Union Bank as the Vice-President of Consumer Lending and was a 1987 President of the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce. For over 20 years, Mr. Lee worked in Little League Sports and Umpiring. He was predeceased by his son, Tommy Lee.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Peggie Lee; a son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Teresa Lee, Evans; two grandsons, Mike Lee and his wife, Christina and Jon Lee; a sister, Mary Louise Callaway, Lewisville, Texas; his mother-in-law, Sophronia Jennings, Saluda, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Aquila-Priscilla Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening from 5 until 7.
