Edward Jr served in King Philip's War being killed at Squakheage on 02-Aug-1675. About middle of July 1675 a band of Nipmucs Indians, from King Philip's neighborhood murdered 4 or 5 people.
With Indians expressing desire of peace, a date and time was arranged for a peace treaty.
Captians Wheeler and Hutchinson arrived with them 20 white men. They were treacherously ambushed by a band of 200 Indians and 8 were killed and wounded, among them was Edward Coburn Jr.
Edward never married nor did he have any children, it is believed he is one of Corp. Edward sons who were laid to rest on his land.
