JERRY GUMBERT, 67, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he retired in 2002 as a Maintenance Supervisor with Allen County Board of Commissioners and was on the Board of Directors at Allen County Fairgrounds. He was a NASCAR fan and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven. Survivors include wife, Patricia of New Haven; sons, Bryan and Ronald, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Sherry Klotz of Monroeville and Kathy Gumbert of Fort Wayne; stepsons, John Hart of Hicksville, Ohio, and Jamie Hart of Fort Wayne; stepdaughter, Tamra Daly of Bangor, Mich.; brothers, Dr. Jack (Lois) Gumbert, Daniel (Delores) Gumbert, Gene Gumbert; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by infants, Jerry, Sherry and Timothy Gumbert. Service is 2 p.m. Monday, with calling one hour prior, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven.
