Isaac Brown was the son of Thomas Brown, a weaver, who came to Newbury in 1635 from Malford, England. Thomas died in a fall, January 8, 1687 at the age of 80 years. Isaac's mother was Mary Endoe, born 1610 in Wiltshire, England and died in Newbury on June 2, 1655.

Isaac married Rebecca Bailey on August 22, 1661. Rebecca Bailey was the daughter of John Jr. (# 63169005), who was born in England in 1613 and died in Newbury, March 16, 1691. Rebecca'a mother was Eleanor Emery (# 72991721), who was born in Romsey, England in 1624 and died in Newbury, December 23, 1700. Eleanor's father, John is celebrated as one of the Newbury first settlers and can be found at Find A Grave Memorial# 6880623.

was also a weaver from Chippenham, England. In his passage with his son, he was on the ship "Angel Gabriel" that famously shipwrecked off the coast of Pemaquid, now Bristol, Maine on Aug 15, 1635. This storm was fabled to be one of the worst storms which has ever visited the New England coast. It was said that ship timbers and other wreckage were washed far up the slopes of Old Town Hill in Newbury. He and his son survived, living first in the Salisbury area, then Newbury. John Sr. died on Nov 2, 1651 in Newbury.Parents:
