Edith Geneva Beaver Beal
June 15, 1909 - December 23, 2009

Edith Geneva Beaver Beal, age 100, of Neosho, departed this life Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Freeman Neosho Hospital, to go home to be with her Lord and Saviour.

She was born June 15, 1909, in Oklahoma, to Albert Hopkins and Effie Doles Hopkins.

She moved to Powell, MO, at 7 months old and has been a lifetime area resident.

She married Tommy Beaver in June, 1927, and to this union three children were born; Wilma, Norman, and Mary. Tommy died in 1961.

In 1965, Edith married W.T. Beal, and he died in 1990.

She is survived by one son, Norman Beaver, and wife, Fredda, of Anderson, MO; one daughter, Mary Maness, of Neosho, MO; one sister, Millie Dotson Carlisle, of Neck City, MO; two grandsons, Alan Beaver and wife, Christina, of Anderson, and Rick Maness of Colorado Springs, CO; three granddaughters, Phyllis Scoville and husband, Dan, of Sacramento, CA, Teri Boll and husband, Gregg, of Crane, MO, and Melissa Eubanks of Anderson, MO; eleven great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; two great, great great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Tom Halverson of Sacramento, CA; and a host of other family and friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lee, Albert Jr. and Frank; three sisters, Annie Wade, Nellie Forbes, and Mary Sanders; her daughter, Wilma Halverson; two grandsons, Jerry Halverson and Wendell Halverson; and a son-in-law, Don Maness.

Edith was a devout Christian, loving mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, Dec. 28, at Clark Chapel of Memories, with Dr. Jerry Seigel officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, and Edith's grandsons will honor their grand-ma by serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9 am - 5 pm. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3 - 4 pm.

Monday December 28, 2009, 10:00 am at Clark Chapel of Memories
Officiating the service will be Dr. Jerry Seigel.

Interment
Monday December 28, 2009 at Union Cemetery
