Margaret Josephine McGlade, 91, of Mt. Carmel, passed away Sunday October 16, 2011 at The United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, IL.
She was born on February 04, 1920 in Mt. Carmel, the daughter of Clyde Earl Emmons and Josephine Olive Struble. Margaret married Raymon Cecil Mullinax on November 28, 1942 in Mt. Carmel at Zion Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1980. After his death she married Joseph A. McGlade on July 10, 1994, he also preceded her in death.
She previously was a house mother for fourteen years at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. Margaret was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, in Mt. Carmel.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Wood and Jennefer Keith both of Mt. Carmel; five grandchildren, Noel (Chris) Pentell of Bridgeport, Jeremy (Julie) Wood of Oneida, NY, Amy (Jeremy) Hayden of Mt. Carmel, Travis Knust of Odell, IL, and Tara Bustos-Gayton of Evansville, IN; sixteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Mabel Hulfachor of Indianapolis and several niece and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husbands, two infant brothers, one brother, Carroll Emmons and one sister Mary Louise Payne.
Funeral services will be 11:00am October 20, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church with burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00am on October 20, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church.
