Frederick Pancacke, 77, well-known Columbus painter and paperhanger, died at 5:45 o'clock Saturday afternoon at his home, 1039 Lafayette avenue. His wife, Mrs. Flo Belle Pancake, survives.
Born July 4, 1876, near Clifford the son of John and Sarah Boyd Pancacke, he was a baseball enthusiast. He served as a deacon of the Christian church. Mr. Pancacke was a corporal in Company H during the first world war and was a member of the local American Legion post.
Survivors, besides Mrs. Pancake, are a nephew, Lee Pancake of Canton, O., and a niece, Mrs. Fern Druart of Vincennes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday at Hathaway funeral home with Dr. T. K. Smith in charge. Burial will be made at Springer cemetery. The casket is open at the funeral home.
