Douglas Copley, age 22, of Albion died early Thursday morning, August 11, 1983, in a one-vehicle accident on Route 1 south of Grayville, Ill. He was employed as a driller for Gallagher Drilling Co. He also graduated from Edwards County High School in 1979. He was born on October 9, 1960, at the Richland County Hospital in Olney to Ira and Maxine Hudson Copley of Albion. Those surviving, besides his parents, include three sisters, Mrs. Sharon Abby, Mrs. Mike (Bonita) McCurdy and Miss Trish Copley, all of Albion. He was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney, on September 6, 1957. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 13, 1983, at the Nales Funeral Home in Albion, with Rev. Larry Music officiating.
