Born to Marion Francis Logan & Merle Evelynne Griffith Logan, at home in Glenrock. Her younger sister, Beverlee Coine Logan was born in February 1929 in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.

Marion worked for oil companies beginning in 1922, when the young family moved to the Hawaii Territory where Marion worked on building the oil tanks and farms at Hickam Field. The family returned to the states in late 1923, where they moved to Long Beach, California, where they lived until 1935.

In mid-1935 the family moved to the unincorporated community of Midway City, Orange County, CA. They moved into a two bedroom bungalow on Van Buren Street. The small house was their residence until the death of Marion on 07 August 1979.

Gerry graduated from Huntington Beach HS in June 1940. She enrolled at the University of California at Santa Barbara in September 1940 where she majored in education and home economics. At a USO dance in late 1942 she was introduced to Lt. Mercer F. "Dick" Davis, US Army. Mercer was born in Albertville, AL, and had served in the Pacific theatre until he was wounded, when he was rotated to California.

On April 23, 1943, Gerry and Mercer were united in Marriage in Anaheim, California.

On June 11, 1947 Gerry gave birth to their son, Richard Logan "Rickie" Davis, in the City of Orange, California. Shortly after Rickie's birth, Dick received orders for Salzburg, Austria. Gerry would follow him ten weeks later. The family lived in Salzburg until late summer of 1948, when they returned to the states.

On October 24, 1948, their daughter Evelynne Marie Davis was born in the same hospital as her brother Rickie. At the time the family was stationed at Ft MacArthur in California.

In early 1953, Mercer was sent to Korea where he served until late December 1953 when he was transferred home due to illness. The family moved to Camp (now Fort) Gordon, Athens, Georgia. On June 21, 1954, Dick died from a heart attack. Gerry, Rickie and Evelynne returned to Midway City, where they moved into a small house on Harper Street, just a few blocks from Gerry's parents.

Gerry enrolled at Long Beach College where she obtained her teachers degree. she would teach at Huntington Beach HS for two years, later with the Costa Mesa School District in Orange County, where she would become the head of the Home Economic departments in four high schools. In 1964 she obtained degrees in psychology and counseling becoming a counseler at Estancia HS, where she retired in 1983.

Her mother Merle died in October 1962 from complications from Type 1 Diabetes. After Marion's death in 1979, Gerry sold her Midway City home and moved to Palm Desert, California, where she lived until the mid-1990's. She moved
to Elk Grove, California to be near her son Rick and his wife, Myra.

In 2001 Geraldine was diagnosed with Dementia. She was able to stay at home until 2011 when she fell an broke her hip. She moved to a Hospice home Elk Grove where she passed away peacefully in her sleep in the late hours of January 20th.
