Chad Cook, age 29, of the Four Corners area near Bozeman passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006, at his home due to complications of leukemia resulting from exposure to benzene.

He was born April 15, 1976, at Bozeman to Kenneth and Janie (Saltzman) Cook Sr. He attended grade school in Manhattan and Belgrade and graduated from Belgrade High School in 1995.
His chosen sports were motocross, tough trucks and RC cars.

Chad worked various jobs in the Bozeman area and was a born-again Christian belonging to the Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Agnes (Campbell) Cook.

Survivors include his children, Joey Dylan Clements of Bozeman, Meredith Marie Cook of Las Vegas, Amber Louise Cook and Teresa Leighanne Cook with whom Chad lived with during his illness at his parents' home in Bozeman; his parents, Kenneth Clyde Cook Sr. and Janie Viann Cook; brother, Kenneth Clyde and Jennine Cook Jr. of Bozeman; sister, Lisa Viann and Mark Steingruber of Three Forks; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Norma Saltzman Sr. of Bozeman. Chad also leaves his best friend, Don Carey of Bozeman; the two were like brothers.


In Chad's memory, memorials may be made to Chad's children's educational fund that has been established at First Security Bank, P.O. Box 910, Bozeman 59771.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 3, at K&L Mortuary Chapel in Three Forks, with Aaron Young officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowview Cemetery in Manhattan, with a reception to follow at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2165 Durston Road, Bozeman.
