Wilfred Kenneth "Bill" Bracher, son of Oscar and Hilda (Rapp) Bracher, was born February 4, 1934 on his parents' farm northwest of Rockville, Missouri. He departed this life May 20, 2010 on that same farm where he had lived for just over 76 years. Bill was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Prairie City. He was baptized March 11, 1934 and confirmed May 23, 1948. He attended Fairmount and Zion Lutheran School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957 as a Crew Chief on F-86 fighter aircraft. On December 28, 1957 Bill was united in Marriage to Delores Nichols of Appleton City. They were blessed with three children. Bill was a farmer. He liked the outdoors - hunting, fishing and camping. He looked forward each year for the coming of the purple martins and hummingbirds. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and Friday night card games. Preceding Bill in death were his parents, a son-in-law Roy Watson and two brothers-in-law, Wilber Van Winkle and Donald Wiltz. Survivors include Delores, his wife of 52 years; his three children, Russell Bracher and wife Janet of Montrose, Missouri, Roxanne and husband Edward Jurgensmeyer of Montrose, Missouri and Ranae and husband Daris Magoffin of Rockville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Travis, Trevor and Katelyn Bracher, Tyler Jurgensmeyer and wife Stacey, Noah Jurgensmeyer, Bruce Watson and wife Scarlett and Anna Magoffin; five great-grandchildren, Cayden Jurgensmeyer, Charlene, Roy, Sahara and Sibylla Watson; and one sister Leona Wiltz of Appleton City, Missouri.
