DARLINGTON - Charlie C. Barefoot, 66, of Darlington, died at his home here yesterday after a long illness. He had been in declining health for the past several years.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Church of God, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. E. H. Elmonds, assisted by the Rev. Elbert H. Walker. Burial will be in New Providence Church Cemetery above Hartsville.
Mr. Barefoot was born and reared in Darlington County. He lived here practically all his life.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nancy Howle Barefoot; a son, Clarence H. Barefoot of Florence; a daughter, Mrs. N. N. Thomas of Darlington; a brother, Clem Barefoot of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Lide Howle of Darlington; and 3 grandchildren.
