Mr. DeVore, who celebrated his golden wedding anniversary in 1945, was a member of St. Bernard Church. He had retired as a cabinetmaker and at one time had been manager of the Springfield Paint and Varnish Co. He was also a member of the United Comercial Travelers.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Helena DeVore, a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Maus of Eaton, Ohio, one son, Paul, of Springfield, a sister, Mrs. Lottie Elcook of Hamilton, and eight grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Degenhart funeral home where it will remain until funeral services at 9 am Wednesday in the St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
