THANK YOU ALL, MY F.A.G. FRIENDS FOR THE TOKENS FOR MY FATHER! I AM OVERWHELMED, TOUCHED AND GRATEFUL. SPECIAL THANKS TO D.

My father. One of the funniest people on the face of this earth. Our family is still laughing about his humor, antics, self depreciating sense of humor, warped take on the world, how he wondered why we could not pronounce words EXACTLY as they are spelled, he marched to a beat of a different drummer. . His favorite quote was, "Show Business is tough". Served in the military during the Korean War. Played the trumpet, guitar, drums.

He fronted a 17-piece swing band for over 20 years, playing weddings, clubs, parties, even in the World Trade Center and all over the metro area. From bricklayer to big band singer.
I hope you got your greatest wish; to be with your beloved Mother again.

He ALWAYS recited this poem from Gunga Din:

So I'll meet 'im later on
At the place where 'e is gone --
Where it's always double drill and no canteen;
'E'll be squattin' on the coals
Givin' drink to poor damned souls,
An' I'll get a swig in hell from Gunga Din!
Yes, Din! Din! Din!
You Lazarushian-leather Gunga Din!
Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!
