Paquita Bernardo (her original name was Francisca Bernardo) is one of the greatest tango legends, was the first and only bandoneon (which is similar to an accordion) woman player. In the 1920s, she had to overcome a lot of prejudices regarding the tango, a music considerated "sinful" by that time. One of her greatest fans was Carlos Gardel. Sadly, she died suddently at 24 years old at the peak of her popularity, before she could record any albums. She composed 15 tangos like "Soñando," "Floreal," and "La Enmascarada."
