Actor. Best known for his portrayal as Captain Monastario in the 1950's television series "Zorro." He appeared in numerous western series throughout his career including "Rawhide," "The Virginian" and "Death Valley Days." He served in the Pacific Theater during the Second World War as a paratrooper earning three purple hearts, plus a bronze and silver star. Following his television career he became an acclaimed television director and production manager, working on several television series including the "Waltons," "Falcon Crest" and "Battlestar Galactica." He died at a nursing home facility in Southern California from kidney failure at the age of 80.
