Funeral services for Mrs. Avis Burr were held Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment followed at Cold Water Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Burr, 95, of Natchitoches passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 in Natchitoches. She attended church avidly and was a member of Coldwater Baptist Church. A volunteer for the Baptist Student Union at Northwestern State University. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Reverend Homer Burr and by her second husband Kile Cato; her parents Tobe Lee and Azalie Kile Robbins; two daughters Jean Bradley and Elaine Rogers.
