Annie Lee Stallings was born on 16 June 1895 in Grayson, LA, the first of eight children born to James Jeptha Stallings and Claudia Clara Robbins. She had two younger brothers and five younger sisters.

Annie's father, James Stallings, owned the general store in the small town of Grayson, located in Caldwell Parish in central LA. He sold goods and general merchandise in the store, almost everything that families needed at that time, from food to coffins. Annie grew up in Grayson spending a lot of town in her father's store.

Annie got married about 1912 at the age of 17 to Ruffin Walker Gray, who was in his early 30s. Ruffin Gray had courted Annie's mother, Claudia, years before and had "promised" to marry Claudia's first born daughter. Ruffin and Annie had a daughter, Jewel Cyrille Gray, in 1914. Ruffin Gray died in 1916 at the age of 40 of tuberculosis. After Ruffin Gray's death, Annie married Conway Bloom around 1918.

Around 1922, Annie met and married Hardie Lee Thomas in Texarkana, Arkansas. Annie was 27 and Hardie was 31 when they were married. Hardie had served in WW I and was working for the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company. Daughter Cyrille would have been eight years old when they were married. Hardie and Annie had two children, Hardie Lee Thomas Jr. born in 1924 and Jean Heloise Thomas, born in 1926.

Hardie Sr. and Annie were married approximately 12 years and were divorced around 1934. After their divorce, Annie frequently moved around Louisiana and Arkansas. Sometime in the 1950s, Annie met and married Thomas Harrison.

Annie settled in Beaumont, Texas late in her life in the 1960s to be near her children and grandchildren. Annie died in 1977 at the age of 82. Annie Lee Stallings Harrison is buried in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, Louisiana near her birthplace.
