While serving active duty in the U.S. Marines in Anbar province, Iraq, Lance Cpl. Cesar Fabrico Macado-Olmos died a week before his 21st birthday. Born in Mexico, the son of Jose Manuel Machado and Patricia Olmos, he moved to the United States in 1989 with his family. A graduate of Spanish Fork High School, Class of 2001, Cesar entered the military service and was pursing U.S. citizenship. A family-oriented person and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he enjoyed the mountains, especially the Spanish Fork Canyon area. Surviving family member includes his mother and stepfather Patricia and Esau Acosta; siblings: Esau, Jr., 12, and Samantha, 8.Lance Cpl. Cesar F. Machado-Olmos, died due to a non-combat related vehicle accident. He was assigned to 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, NC.
He was the son of Patricia Acosta. He was a Spanish Fork High School graduate, class of 2001.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by step-father, Esau Acosta; step brother, Esau Acosta, Jr.; step sister, Samantha Acosta and aunt, Laura Orneles.
