Rosa Viola Belle Miller, only child of Solomon & Sarah Ward Miller, was born at Lincoln Ill. March 4 1877. Her mother died when she was a tiny baby, so she was reared and cared for by her grandparents and an aunt Mrs. Susan Parrish. Her childhood and the major portion of her life was spent in this vicinity. She was converted while a young woman and remained true to her convictionsunto the end. She was married to M. O. Thompson March 4 1896. Besides her companion she leaves to mourn her departure nine daughters, whom have grown to womanhood. They are as follows...Mrs. Alta McClelland of Seattle Wash.,Mrs. Marie Stratton of McFall, Mrs. Forest Slaybough of Pattonsburg, Miss Eula of the home, Mrs. Avnes Teel of Albany, Mrs Louise Pulsifer of Forest City Mo., Mrs. Crystal Teel of Darlington, Mrs Wretha Heath of St Joseph Mo., and Miss Virginia of the home. One daughter Elva, preseeded her in death 5 years ago. She also leaves 15 grandchildren. The devotion of her family speaks more for her life than could be expressed in any other form. She departed from this life Oct 13 1935, at the age of 58 years and 7 months. She was not old in years but her life had been rich in experience. Hers days had been filled with many duties and they were well done. She was tired and willing to fulfill her part of the plan of "all that lives must die passing through nature into eternity. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, a cheerful neighbor, a patient unassuming person to all that knew her, and an ever faithful follower of her creator, worthy of the rest that comes to the righteous. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church in Mcfall by Rev. Walter Hyde, assisted by Rev. Wilhern Bowman of Kansas City, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 O'clock.
