Mrs. Tony Rhen Dies July 3
Mrs. Tony (Ellen Sarah) Rhen, 63, Estherville, died at 3:15 p.m. July 3, 1972, at Good Samaritan Center where she had been a resident for several years. She had been ill for the past 17 years.

Mrs. Rhen was born Dec. 29, 1908, in Itasca County, Minnesota, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McCrehin. She received her education in the Leonard and Clearbrook, Minn., schools.

She was married Dec. 5, 1928, to Tony Rhen at Clearbrook and they lived in Leonard and McIntosh, Minn., until 1941 when they moved to Stockton, Calif. They lived there until 1949 when they moved to Estherville.

At one time she was employed by Soo Valley Fishline Co. at Estherville.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at McIntosh and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Estherville.

She is survived by her husband, Tony, one son, Roscoe of Omaha, a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Barbara) Johnson of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and three brothers, Loren McCrehin of Brouse, Ariz., Lloyd McCrehin of San Diego, Calif., and Ralph McCrehin of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Wiegman officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.
