Philip Isaac Boyer, the sixth child of Godfred (Gottfried) and Anna Maria Boyer, married Maria Wildermuth in 1827. They had two children: Edward and Maria. His wife Maria died a few days after the birth of their daughter Maria, in 1829. Philip married Catharine Heffner about 1830, and they had at least two children: Lewis and Rebecca.
