Father of John Edwin
Cecil Battershell, 82, of Robinson, died Friday, February 3, 1984 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home. He was retired from Marathon Oil Co. He had two sons, Frank of Robinson, and John of Englewood, Colorado and 4 grandchildren. His father was John Wallace Battershell and his mother Laura Bell Berry Battershell. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Robinson and the Masonic Lodge. In addition to his wife Ethel and son Charles preceding him in death were four brothers and three sisters. The funeral was Monday at Buchanan Funeral Home with Rev T R Akers and Rev Roy Jordan officiating. Burial was in the Robinson New Cemetery.
