Richard Allen Storey, of Spencer, was born February 4, 1936 in Oklahoma City to Blanton and Sadie (Edwards) Storey. He passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the age of 72. Richard loved to tell stories of his past. Stories of him as a young man on water well drilling rigs or stories of the days he spent as a laborer for home builders were very likely to arise. He also loved old cars, especially corvettes. Mr. Storey was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, James and Raymond Storey; a sister, Sharon Storey; and a grandson, Chad Storey. Richard is survived by 7 sons, Terry, Michael, Richard, David, William, James, and Randy Storey; 6 sisters, Louise Gavigno, Lucille Foley, Linda Fisher, Janice Cronk, Judy Marler, and Terri Anderson; 2 brothers, Robert and Paul Storey; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was very deeply loved by his family. Services honoring Richard Storey are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday October 25th at Candlewood Chapel in Midwest City under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Kolb Cemetery in Spencer.
