"Bus" proudly served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He served on Hamilton Twp. Committee for nine years and in 1968 served as Mayor. He was a member of the Hamilton Twp. Republican Club, Unity Lodge #96 F&AM, past president of the Mays Landing Rotary Club, and a past scout leader of Troop 144 of the Boy Scouts.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Joan Panza; and his brother, James Morris.
He was survived by his son Robert H. Morris II and wife Natalie; his daughters: Alice Giunta and her husband Paul and Patricia Mangiello and her husband Joey; his 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren; his brother: David Morris and his sisters: Eileen Ripley and Marjory Horton.
Masonic Services will be held and religious services immediately following at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. Burial will be in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor, New Jersey.
