Funeral services for Doretha Paul Hayes will be held at 11 am, Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the Calcasieu Baptist Church of Glenmora with Revs. Bert Riddle and Charles Robertson officiating. Committal services will follow in the Occupy #1 Cemetery of Pitkin, under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Doretha, 74, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in Allen Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 14, 1938 in Rapides Parish, to the union of Jeff and Collean Hatch Paul. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Raymond J. Hayes; and infant daughter; and one sister, Judy Ward.
She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, her husband, Raymond L. Hayes; three daughters, Brenda (Mickey) Funderburk, Rebecca (Chris) Brown, and Collean H. (Charlie) Rice; one step daughter, Cathy (Mike) Tyson; two sisters, Eveyln (Bob) Crafton and Brenda (Clyde) Vercher; 13 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
