Carolyn June Baker-Hodges was born Sept. 12, 1948 at Thayer, MO, the daughter of Bascome Baker and Violet Martha Sandridge Baker. She died Feb. 13, 2009 in Wichita, KS, at the age of 60. She was united in marriage to John McBride. She was later united in marriage to Russell Halliday.
She was a member of the Oregon County Genealogy Society for 29 years. She converted written and microfilm genealogy records into digital and written published books.
She is survived by her father, Bascome Baker of Thayer, MO; one daughter, Melinda Kelly Hoevers of Killeen, TX; one son, Travis Brady Glass of Springfield, MO; one granddaughter; four brothers and sisters, Ronald Baker of Thayer, MO; Sherman Baker of Thayer, MO; Patsy Hedden of Wichita, KS; and Michael Baker of Nebraska; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Baker.
Memorial services were held Feb. 16 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, MO, with local arrangements being under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
